The infrastructure available in the laboratory enables scientific research and development work in the field of biophysics (including molecular nano-aggregates) and activities focusing on the development of new diagnostic devices, e.g. based on sound wave analysis. Among the laboratory’s equipment there are photobioreactors designed on the premises of WPT for biotechnological cultures, designed to obtain active substances e.g. from algae.
The laboratory facilities provide an opportunity to analyze the designed material solutions including, among others:
- testing of physicochemical and biological properties,
- developing production technology,
- testing of parameters and properties of materials used in medicine.
The Laboratory is one of the three laboratories of the Group of Chemical and Bioengineering Laboratories.
