The laboratory is one of the components forming part of the Chemical And Bioengineering Laboratories Unit. It specialises in analyses for the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, among others. Its facilities enable a range of laboratory work – from basic work, development and implementation research to production.

The laboratory’s main areas of activity are:

  • chemistry,
  • biotechnology,
  • molecular biology,
  • microbiology,
  • chemical synthesis,
  • chemical analytics in liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC-FID), emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) and mass spectrometry (LC-MS, ICP-MS).

Laboratory facilities

  • liquid chromatograph (HPLC),
  • liquid chromatograph coupled
    with a high-resolution mass spectrometer (LC-MS),
  • two-channel gas chromatograph
with a flame ionisation detector (FID),
  • liquid chromatograph coupled
    with a high-resolution mass spectrometer (GC-MS),
  • laminar flow chambers,
  • optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES),
  • inductively coupled plasma ionisation mass spectrometer with time-of-flight analyser (ICP-TOF-MS),
  • DNA/RNA analyser,
  • apparatus for Real Time PCR reactions,
  • laboratory autoclaves,
  • biological incubators,
  • low-temperature freezers,
  • and many others.
