The laboratory is dedicated to institutions and technology companies in the SME sector that are active in areas such as biotechnology, molecular biology, cell cultures, microbiology, analytics, physical chemistry, chemistry. The laboratory consists of a biotechnology area (5 labs with locks), a chemistry area (4 labs) and common areas and welfare facilities.
The Bioengineering Technology laboratories are professional research and technology facilities with specialised infrastructure that enables R&D projects, technological processes or the production of pilot series of products.
The biotechnology labs feature:
- locks,
- supply air ventilation system suitable for installation of HEPA filters,
- local exhaust ventilation,
- UV lamps,
- fire-resistant cabinets for storing chemicals,
- laboratory furniture.
The chemistry labs, in turn, are equipped with:
- fume cupboards,
- spot exhaust with enhanced chemical resistance,
- fire-resistant cabinets for storage of fire hazardous chemical reagents,
- ventilated cabinets for the ongoing storage of chemicals,
- laboratory furniture with ceramic tops.
