The laboratory enables photometric testing of light sources, the energy efficiency of photovoltaic cells and metrological measurements, including linear and angular measurements of shape, length, angle or diameter geometries, with particular emphasis on large-scale devices (optical scanning) of 3D physical models.
The laboratory is equipped with a state-of-the-art clean-room with the ability to maintain constant temperature and humidity levels, which is unique in the country.
The laboratory is one of the three components forming part of the Physical Properties Laboratories Unit.
