The main focus of the workshop is the optimisation of construction, manufacturing and machining processes. This cycle covers the timeframe from design (CAD-CAM), to the production of a virtual model (3D computer visualisation), to the digital transfer of this model to automated machining equipment, and to the production of a physical prototype with minimal investment in time, energy and materials.

The laboratory is equipped with machines that allow a wide range of activities to be carried out, such as cold bending of tubes and profiles, high-pressure drilling, machining in a wide range of dimensions, cutting sheet metal, working on hard and very hard materials, bending sheet metal, welding steel components, waterjet cutting, milling, turning, plastic working of sheet metal, wood and metal cutting and welding.
