About EDIH

WRO4digITal is a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) based in Wrocław, created by a consortium of 22 institutions offering comprehensive support in the digital transformation process. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Lower Silesia can benefit from free expert services to modernize their production methods or service delivery in line with current digital trends.

WRO4digITal is a member of the pan-European network of European Digital Innovation Hubs, which is the primary tool of the European Commission for supporting and coordinating the digital transformation of the European Union’s economy.

The goal of the WRO4digITal initiative is to increase the digitalization level of the economy in Lower Silesia. The activities of the Wrocław hub will improve the competitiveness of local companies, foster economic growth in the region, increase the availability of skilled workforce, and enhance the quality of life.

Our mission is to achieve networking effects and build a digital innovation ecosystem tailored to SMEs. Through educational and demonstration activities, we provide access to specialized knowledge and equipment, while our individual advisory and implementation services offer expert support in the search for digital solutions. Our efforts also aim to connect with technology providers or potential business partners and offer support in securing funding.

We focus on three main technologies of the Digital Europe programme: Artificial Intelligence (AI), High-Performance Computing (HPC), and Cybersecurity. Additionally, our offerings include services based on a wide range of other digital technologies such as cloud computing, big data, blockchain, the Internet of Things, virtual/augmented reality, advanced automation and robotics solutions, and additive manufacturing.

It is important to note that all the mentioned technologies can be experienced hands-on through the laboratories of our consortium.

Achieve a new level of innovation.

We support businesses of any scale!

The dynamics of change in the modern world are immense. Today, more than ever, achieving success in business requires the ability to quickly respond to challenges faced by the modern economy. Maintaining competitiveness and resilience of the economy is a priority at the European level, and these goals can be realized through digital solutions and the opportunities offered, among others, by the ICT sector. The network of European Digital Innovation Hubs is intended to provide tangible support in the digital transformation of economies, particularly for SMEs. As Wrocław Technology Park, we see the vast potential that digitalization opens up for us. Given the role we play daily as a coordinator connecting entities that, on one hand, need new technological solutions, and on the other hand, possess ready market solutions, it was a natural and great pleasure for us to take on the role of the leader of the WRO4digITal project. I am pleased that as part of a consortium of 22 entities representing a cross-section of the local innovation ecosystem, we will support the development of Wrocław and Lower Silesian enterprises and government offices. I am confident that together, we will elevate the level of innovation of Polish businesses, our city, and the Lower Silesian region.

EDIH FAQ

The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) is a tool developed by the European Commission to coordinate and support the digital transformation of the economies of EU Member States. The goal of the program is to increase the level of digitalization across the European Union, thereby enhancing the competitive advantage of companies and improving the functioning of public administration. EDIHs will operate as comprehensive service centers – “one-stop shops” – providing businesses interested in digital development with assistance.

The Digital Europe program focuses on the development of three main areas: artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and cybersecurity. Our services also provide solutions based on other digital technologies, such as cloud computing, big data, blockchain, the Internet of Things, and virtual reality.

We are one of the members of the European Digital Innovation Hubs network.

WRO4digITal EDIH consists of 22 partners, including supporting institutions – we share unique competences and experience in the field of digital transformation. Our consortium consists of various types of business environment institutions, universities and enterprises.

The WRO4digITal offer is aimed at two target groups – the first being companies from the SME sector, including microenterprises and startups.

The project started in October 2023 and will last for 3 years.

Our activities within WRO4digITal will be implemented regionally in Lower Silesia, but our project also has a national dimension within the national EDIH network and an international one within the pan-European network of digital innovation hubs.

Our activities are funded by the Digital Europe Program and national funds.

The use of EDIH services is regulated by the provisions on granting state aid.
