R&D laboratory
WPT’s R&D laboratory is a space where ideas take shape – from concept to a finished formulation. It enables research and development activities, especially those that can later be transferred to the technology line.
Our team of technologists supports companies in developing tailored formulations based on client concepts, compliant with current regulations and quality requirements. Each project is delivered individually – with full substantive and technological support from WPT specialists.

Technological capabilities
The R&D laboratory is equipped with instruments that enable testing and refining processes at laboratory scale:

spray dryer (laboratory scale)
- molecular distillation (enables purification and separation of compounds such as vitamins or terpenes)
- 30 L mixer for preparing liquid and semi-liquid blends (laboratory scale)
- 10 L homogenising mixer for producing creams, hydrogels and cosmetic emulsions (laboratory scale)
With the R&D laboratory infrastructure, it is possible to complete the full process of developing and testing a new product before moving to pilot or industrial scale.
Quality analyses and testing
A second area of the R&D laboratory activity is testing:
- particle size distribution using sieve analysis
- bulk density of powders and tapped density
- disintegration time of tablets and capsules
- abrasion resistance of uncoated tablets
- crushing strength of tablets
- mass uniformity of single-dose preparations
Test results can form the basis for product quality documentation and validation of technological processes.
Cooperation models
The R&D laboratory offer is used by companies from the following sectors:
- food and nutraceuticals – developing dietary supplements, functional foods, protein concentrates
- cosmetics – developing liquid and semi-solid formulations
- agri-food – testing processing of agricultural products
Each project is priced individually, depending on the scope of work and the required technical resources.
