Big Science in WPT
WPT brings together science and technology entities and creates a nurturing environment for local and global projects, alongside facilitating smooth cooperation between Polish businesses and Big Science centres.
WPT has been strongly connected to the Big Science market since its inception. WPT experts help Polish companies unleash their potential and discover new business opportunities.
Wrocław Technology Park is the initiator and coordinator of the BIG SCIENCE HUB, a platform for sharing ideas, contacts and experiences, geared to promoting and growing the innovation sector, and making it more accessible to companies from a wide range of profiles and industries.
BIG SCIENCE HUB
BIG SCIENCE HUB is a platform integrating business and science, big science in particular. It is a place for entrepreneurs to find opportunities to make new contacts which may lead to new jobs or contracts, and where Big Science institutions may find reliable partners. It is also an opportunity for innovative companies to present their offers to potential partners (not only Big Science centres), investors or principals. For universities and scientific institutions, it is an occasion to present their potential to companies and to establish partnerships that may lead to the commercialisation of solution developed by their researchers.
Growth & development opportunities for companies of all sizes
The Park is home to companies engaged in a successful cooperation with Big Science institutions, among others Technology Transfer Agency Techtra, Kriosystem Sp. z o.o., Saule Sp. z o.o., Scanway Sp. z o.o. or ZPUE S.A.
These and other innovative companies are offered support in handling organizational matters and in funding acquisition. They may use the Park’s technical infrastructure, including 12 laboratories and prototype workshops.
The next item on WPT’s agenda related to the development of space industry in Poland and in Europe will be the launching of ESA BIC (European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre), a business incubator aimed at encouraging the growth of space exploration businesses that will enter into cooperation with the European Space Agency. WPT is involved in other initiatives which promote space-related innovations designed to change entrepreneurs’ perception of this sector. WPT seeks to demonstrate that the largest global scale projects involve micro and small companies as well.

Na terenie Parku działają firmy odnoszące sukcesy we współpracy z instytucjami Big Science. Są wśród nich: Technology Transfer Agency Techtra, Kriosystem Sp. z o.o., Saule Sp. z o.o., Scanway Sp. z o.o., czy ZPUE S.A.
Te i inne innowacyjne firmy mogą korzystać ze wsparcia w kwestiach organizacyjnych oraz w zdobywaniu finansowania. Do ich dyspozycji jest też zaplecze techniczne Parku, w tym 12 specjalistycznych laboratoriów i prototypowni.
Kolejnym przedsięwzięciem WPT związanym z rozwojem branży kosmicznej w Polsce i Europie będzie uruchomienie na jego terenie ESA BIC (ang. European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre), inkubatora przedsiębiorczości, mającego wspierać rozwój firm związanych z eksploracją kosmosu, które będą współpracować z Europejską Agencja Kosmiczną. WPT uczestniczy też w innych inicjatywach promujących innowacje związane z kosmosem i prowadzących do zmiany postrzegania tego sektora wśród przedsiębiorców. Chce pokazać, że na przedsięwzięcia o wielkiej, światowej skali, składają się także działania związane z sektorem mikro i małych przedsiębiorców.
